Christchurch is the home of Dink and we are passionate about getting as many Cantabrians as possible experiencing the joy of Pickleball.
Where can I play Pickleball in Christchurch?
We offer a range of bundles, including our Backyard Bundle, which comes with a portable net, paddles, and balls—everything you need to start your own game in your driveway, at the park, on a local basketball court.
Dink PIckleball at The Cashmere Club
We have two pickleball courts available for hire at The Cashmere Club Christchurch. (Located at 50 Colombo Street, Christchurch)
Court hire is available on the following days:
- Monday: 9 AM – 9 PM (Evenings may be unavailable if coaching is scheduled)
- Wednesday: 9 AM – 9 PM
- Friday: 9 AM – 9 PM (Morning may be unavailable if coaching is scheduled)
- Sunday: 10 AM – 7 PM
All court bookings must be made through the Pay 2 Play online booking system.
Our Dink gear is available for your enjoyment to borrow.
Community Courts
If you are looking to have a hit around with friends or family in the outdoors, there are several community tennis courts that have been marked out with permanent pickleball lines. You just need your Dink paddles and balls and head to one of these outdoor public courts to get your game on:
- Pioneer Recreation & Sports Centre, 75 Lyttleton St, Somerfield, Christchurch 8024
- Westmorland (Francis Reserve), Cashmere Rd, Westmorland, Christchurch 8025
- Milns Court (Six Silvers Reserve), Cnr Milns Rd and Six Silvers Ave, Halswell, Christchurch 8025
- Sheldon Park (at the netball courts), Main North Road, Belfast, Christchurch 8051 - note that you will need to BYO net to this location.
Christchurch City Council Pay to Play
Drop in to one of the Christchurch City Council’s open court Pay to Play sessions at Pioneer Leisure Centre. You can go along as an individual or bring some friends or whānau - it’s a great way to meet like-minded people and improve your pickleball game.
- Location: Pioneer Stadium, 75 Lyttelton Street, Somerfield
- When: Monday afternoon, Wednesday and Friday mornings
